Bbbbbbut people were saying dat Vita's dead so no one's making game anymore!
Dark11  +   639d ago
It's true , Vita is dead
PORTS will not help the vita , exclusives will.
kopicha  +   638d ago
try harder... P4G is a port and it sell Vita. And remember even during 3DS old days... say hi to Zelda OOT which is still one of 3DS highest rated game.

Seems like Vita is slowly becoming a fighters portable - Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter x Tekken, BlazBlue, UMvC3, PS All-Stars and now DOA

Too bad I hate fighters
ABizzel1  +   639d ago
The Vita versions are generally superior to the console versions when it comes to fighting games and I prefer them on Vita. They just feel at home on the handheld.
SandWitch  +   639d ago
In my case it doesn't really matter. I just click random buttons as quickly as I can :|
Baka-akaB  +   638d ago
I how dont see much how they are superior to home consoles versions . There hasnt been like one single fighting game that run perfectly and identical to home console versions .

Sure some got good extras and most still runs great , but there are still technical differences and minor trades offs . And while the vita buttons and pad are perfect , it isnt any better than regular pads , and nowhere close to arcade stick for fans . Nor is it better online

Either way , definitively getting it

I don't agree with this statement at all. The Vita just offers more fighters than most handhelds..

It doesn't make it a fighter portable, I mean there have been a slew of different games released on the system already genre wise from RPG's, FPS (although not so great yet), Racing, Mind, Puzzle, MMO's.. Open World.. The list goes on and there are actually more than just one of each.. So I don't understand how it's a fighter portable at all..

Other than offering more fighting games than others, it is definitely far from all it has genre wise. I mean even a lot of the games that are coming out for it in the future are not even fighters.

I feel like you are being some what vague and ignoring just about every other game that has been released on the Vita and will be coming out for the Vita which many of them aren't fighters.

Shit every game I own on the Vita right now is not a fighter, so obviously it isn't just a fighter portable.

Awesome, yet another port of a console game. And some people wonder why the system struggles.
SAE  +   639d ago
Sometimes ports are better then exclusives , look at cod declassified , wouldnt you get excited to play cod 4 instead of that crap ?..
CaptCalvin  +   639d ago
This fascination with exclusives is the reason the Vita is failing. When handheld owners want "exclusives" it translates to publishers as "our standards are low and are happy with games made with little effort as long as they're exclusive." Handheld "exclusives" rarely live up to the system's standards. The higher rated games on the Vita right now are mostly ports. An exception would be Gravity Rush, but even that was originally developed as a PS3 game.
Hicken  +   638d ago
The system struggles because people find excuses for saying that it's not worth it. It has nothing to do with ports, which make up the brunt of EVERY system's library for the first year or so.

Aren't most of the 3DS' best games ports?

That said: SOLD! I still need to pick up Blaz Blue, too. Noel on the go is just what the doctor(I mean myself) ordered.
knifefight  +   638d ago
I too find that Dr. Me is the best doctor. He always knows what I need.
rainslacker  +   638d ago
A port of a fun and popular game. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion, since owning a port doesn't mean I can't play the exclusives. Seriously when has choice become such a bad thing?
profgerbik  +   638d ago
Every system get's port, if you are going to complain about that, at least complain about the system that get's the most and we all know what that is..

Definitely not Sony's that is for sure.
arabiensoldier  +   639d ago
This is great! The Vita is Slowly picking up !

I hope they start porting all of top ps3 games on psvita
LordMe  +   639d ago
Team Ninja seems to like the Vita allot.

Ninja Gaiden Sgima, and 2. Now DoA5... Won't if we are gonna get Sigma 3 with cross buy...
Kyosuke_Sanada  +   639d ago
Hopefully this version will actually balance the VF cast in the game and fix the counter-timing. Don't let me even get started on the cheap A.I and ludicrious tasks for costumes....
d3nworth1  +   639d ago
Hope they make able to share content and save file with ps3 version. Plus I would like the ability to play custom track in the ps3 version and accept throwdowns for ranked matches instead of only simple matches. Those 2 areas i felt team ninja dropped the ball since other fighters have these.
kopicha  +   638d ago
really quite a surprise.... So they didnt stop there after the announcement of NG2S. Hope there is some interconnectivity between the console version as well. That would be interesting.

Dead or Alive 5 + Team Ninja + Vita touch screen and rear touch..........Danm!-_- i just think something perverted just now
rainslacker  +   638d ago
I wouldn't put it past them at all. Whether it gets localized is the bigger question.
bayonetta  +   638d ago
I Remember when Ken Levine said that a new Bioshock coming 2 Vita
but its never happen -_-"
skyrimer  +   638d ago
I have a hard time thinking why you're talking Bioshock Vita on a DOA5 thread. Oh, trolling of course, sorry, keep it going.
skyrimer  +   638d ago
Amazing news, one of the best fighters of this gen now for Vita, who said we have no games lol! Now I can only hope it has cross play that would be the icing of the cake.

I'm also surprised this is coming early 2013 even though we knew nothing, it must be really easy to develop for Vita if they can port it so fast, and makes me wonder what new games may be unnanounced yet and still coming soon
profgerbik  +   638d ago
I don't even care about the skimpy outfits or scantily clad babes.

I actually like DOA for it's game mechanics and what it brings to the table as a fighter, I could careless about the sexual aspect of it.

It's not like women in skimpy outfits isn't shoved down our throats everyday anyway. I don't understand how that can excite anyone, if anything it's fucking boring.
capt-schmo  +   637d ago
well it's no soul calibur port, but I'll take it, too many 2d fighting games on my handheld.
