"Intel's X48 chipset brings a lot to the table including support for the latest Yorkfield CPUs. Gigabyte has done a wonderful job with the chipset allowing the end-user to use DDR2 memory which has lower latency per clock than the newer DDR3 memory and is less expensive and more readily available compared to the newer memory. The GA-X48-DQ6 has all of the features that the enthusiast would want from a new motherboard and higher performance than the X38 to boot.

All in all I have to say well done Gigabyte on the new board and offer it my highest award, the Editor's Choice."
