Exploiters set to be swiftly dealt with in Black Ops 2, punishments outlined

As a result of players discovering a glitch which allows them to almost instantly achieve prestige rank 10 in “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2”, Treyarch announced that they will be fixing the issue and dealing with the offenders.

Treyarch also reminded players of the “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” Security and Enforcment Policy. The use of this specific exploit would fall under the "boosting" category of the rules for online play. This specific section deals with users who “exploit the game for the purpose of gaining XP, prestige, game score, weapon level, or in-game unlock.”

First offense users will be temporarily banned from playing the game online, will have their stats & emblems reset, and their leaderboard entries will be deleted. (Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, PS3, Xbox 360)

How about they swiftly deal with that terrible lag compensation so my skill actually matters. An I can stop getting dying instantly the moment I see someone.

YUP. The game is nearly unplayable otherwise.

Hmm
I agree. I tried playing again today and this lag has ruined the game for me. I don't understand how this is the biggest franchise and they refuse to give a little back to gamers in the form of dedicated servers. The PC has them correct? So why not all platforms?

I think the deducted servers on PC are for Unranked matches only. I could be wrong though.

how about making a game without exploits and not punish those who are essentially doing qa for you!

i agree with you here 50 percent in one hand it is trey arches fault in another hand players should not be coming online just to find exploits. i really highly doubt that most of the glitches are just ran into.

But then treyarchs thinking is every map is playable and when exploits are discovered they will just patch them.

I'd commend treyarch for dealing with this in the correct manner, if the game game's hit detection was decent, let alone giving the host to someone with an actually decent internet connection and not giving all the other players a 2 bar connection.. -.-
