Seven Games to Gift Someone in Christmas 2012

The past few months have shown an incredible number of high profile video games being released. Franchises like Assassin's Creed, Halo and Far Cry have all released the next installment in their franchise. But with so many dozens of games that have gotten great reviews and high scores from critics, what are the best? What games would be the best to buy this Christmas Season (Holiday Season)? (Assassin's Creed III, Dishonored, Far Cry 3, Halo 4, Mass Effect Trilogy Compilation, PC, PS3, Sleeping Dogs, Xbox 360)

That's messed up.

Just to note, Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition is available now for PC. If you have a younger sibling or nephew who hasn't experienced the awesomeness of 90s RPGs, that would be a good way to introduce them to it.
