NowGamer: The lead writer of Borderlands 2 has shared some insight on content cut from the final version, where Tiny Tina drops her 'insane manic tone for the first and only time in the game'.
Soooo, why exactly was it cut?
Probably because it was a bit too emotional in nature and might have detracted from the main emotional scenes in the game. Maybe. Don't really know. Heck, it could have been that they didn't want you to waste time going to various zones just to deliver news of someone's death (poor quest goals) and had nothing to do with the characters.
I think it's likely due to the point about various zones. All of the other characters you were sent to were in Sanctuary at that point, and it would have doubled the length of the mission to go and inform Tina. Saying that, I really do love the idea of this. Tiny Tina is one of the most controvertial and colourful characters in the entire game. I think she has a bright future ahead of her in the Borderlands universe... EDIT: But they could have left it in as an optional objective. That would have been a nice touch!
Agreed, toxic-inferno. Leave it in as an optional part of the quest. That would have been the best.
Why cut Tiny Tina's stuff she is an awesome character :(
Yeah why the hell was that cut, that person that dies means a lot to her. You know I actually thought they would of made it so she was Bricks sister he went to look for on Pandora. Hope we get to play as the the old vault hunters in the next game, it could be amazing.
To be honest when you had to go talk to everyone i was kinda suprised i wasnt going to tell Tina
DLC please. That would be awesome.
They should make it a free patch or something and put it back in that way. DLC would be a little overboard if you had to pay just to get to do one little thing that was originally going to be in the game anyway. Still, I do hope they put this in again somehow down the road... It sounds like a really great scene.
This is why the DLC plague runs rampant...
I love Tina!
Depending on what kind of love we are talking about here? One type of love is ok, the other would make you a criminal kind of love, and there is a word for it but I wont use it. I personally thought Tina was awesome.
I love you
Love you too!! But in a non homoerotic way though.
Dude come on lol!
Tina was one of my favorite characters in the whole game.
Maybe they did'nt want to put too much focus or emphasis on her character... Or they want to charge you for it in the future VIA DLC or upgraded re'release... Or maybe because she looks too similar to the sisters in Bioshock 2...
Every person in here was thinking this was about her missions were cut from the game due to exploit boosting of Mr Fleshstick, lol.
it's safe to say that tiny Tina is probably the best character in the whole game, with jack in a very close second and butt stallion in third
