Iwata Apologizes For Day One Wii U Update

gamingbolt.com: Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has come out and said that he is very sorry for the day 1 update, which adds the Nintendo Network to the system, and has revealed that the network will run pretty solid after that patch. Future Wii U models may come with the patch installed, but this is not confirmed. (Nintendo, Wii U)

Glad to see higher ups admit fault but it was to be expected all consoles have problems that need ironing out at the start which only become aparent when a lot of people start testing it out.

He shouldn't have apologised, it was only a patch ffs, it won't be the last.

he is only apologizing out of respect
but it really isnt warranted. there are worst updates and patches out there.....

gotta respect iwata though

I agree, while it was nice that he apologized, it took an hour out of my day. Boo hoo. I set the console to update, then I went and did some things around the house, had a bite to eat. Came back an hour later, it was done.

Some people really over exaggerated the whole update process.

But like most products out there, usually there is some sort of update right out of the box. Whether it's firmware, or drivers, etc. Most electronic devices need an update when you first get them.
