Sega launches Shining Force DMCA campaign on Youtube

For many years, Sega has been generally supportive of its fandom. In an era where many companies were sending Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) threats to shut down fangames, Sega seemingly turned a blind eye, causing the Sonic Fangames HQ to flourish over the last decade and a half. But every now and then, something happens that suggests maybe not everybody within Sega is as forgiving, such as today’s incident involving Youtube videos featuring… well, basically any game from the Shining Force franchise, it would seem. (GameCube, Mobile, PC, PS2, PS3, Retro, Sega, Shining Force, Wii, Wii U, Xbox, Xbox 360)

This is a shameful and disgusting attack on the most loyal fans of this series.

It's also an attack against the integrity of YouTube itself.

Sega is dead and can't handle any old property properly . They are only good with some of their new ones , like Yakuza
