Check out the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 teaser and tune in to the VGAs to see the World Premiere, Friday, December 7 9/8c on Spike and Spike.com.
I really liked the first one so Im looking forward to this one.
The first one was fantastic. After going back to it leaving it alone for a few months, I was supremely happy I finished it. The game/story were epic.
Really, the first teaser to get us excited for the VGAs is this...I would of started with the biggest game thats going to be there. Remember the Last of Us las year, people were going bat s*** crazy over that
Yeah, that was one hell of a trailer. So good that the haters called those graphics CG XD Dont doubt ND!
I just couldn't enjoy the original Lords of Shadows.
I can understand not liking Lords of Shadow, but I'll be damned if it isn't one of the most under-appreciated titles of this generation. It was frustrating in parts, no doubt about it, but it had so much ambition for a game that was just dismissed as a God of War knock-off. Unfair treatment.
Shit teaser, but I can't wait until Lords of Shadows 2 is completely revealed. I bought the first one out of curiosity for like $20, and I was really impressed but the action, locations, and twist at the end. The announcement trailer was AWESOME so I expect the full reveal to blow my mind.
WHAT IS A MAN?
It might be because I unfortunately missed the majority of Castlevania when I was growing up, but I absolutely loved Lords of Shadow.
I played not all but a whole deal of the Castlevania series and Lords of Shadow is still the best thing that happened to the franchise since SOTN. The metroidvania formula was stale and the 3d attempts were nothing but a joke.
@baldulf I have to say I thought the first DS Castlevania was great. I personally always enjoyed the metroidvania style. You are right though, LoS was a phenomenal reboot. I love the Pan's Labyrinth Spanish mythology that the developers brought to the series. Also, it's one of the best looking games I have ever played. From start to end, it was incredible and a 17-25hour 1st time playthrough pending difficulty.
Yes, the first DS game was very good, the first one to properly revive the SOTN spirit (edit: actually, it was its prequel on GBA who did that). Sadly every game after that was worst in one sense or another. Igarashi's formula was good but Iga himself was not able to make it evolve.
There was just something about the mythology in LoS that just hooked me. I personally put it in my personal top 10 games of the generation. LoS2 is also one of my most anticipated games of next year.
Really excited for this. Hope Alucard is in the game
Im pretty sure he is, look at the unveil trailer for LoS2 hes holding a sword while Gabriel gives him a smirk.
The ending in the first Castlevania LoS was wthout a doubt the best ending I have seen in a video game. A very very very overlooked game and such a fascinating game. And I hear the sequel will have much more exploration and less linear. I cannot wait.
They did not just go there! :D
i wonder if any of the other belmonts are in the game. i think trevor belmont, alcard, grant and that mage which i can't remember her name would be the group that puts him to rest until simon belmont is born. I can't wait regardless.
I can't wait. LoS was one of my favorite games to come out in the last few years. Hoping for even more exploration and character growth to match the fantastic scale and story.
