Threespeech has posted some images from Gran Turismo 5: Prologue.
that is nice! excelent!
God bless you Mr. Polyphony! Looks like another great addition to the GT series!
I almost want them to tone down the cars a little (photo realistic), for they make the people look like crap. Needless to say, the game is gorgeous. I just wish it handled differently (i.e. burnout). Not to start a flame war or be biased, but... PlayStation exclusive games are what push the envelope, and in turn allow better games for all, which is why I will most likely only buy/support "PS3 only" games like; this, uncharted, r2, kz2, ................... I think devs should spend more time and focus on the sixaxis. (though i only played the demo) I think folklore was on the right track. ps3 gamerID: T-bone5000
i have seen the pit crew look a lot better in different screens plus am sure they will look better when the game is in motion. Besides this is polyphony digital people arent exactly their specialty. Day 1 purchase for me but i gotta save up for that new wheel
I hate new-wave of gamers.
looks good, but those people look the same in every screen (except for their clothes)
Unfortunately, the fact that the cars are pushing 200,000 polygons each almost forces Polyphony Digital to lower the polys on the characters. I am still blown away that there are 200,000 polygons per car....it's nuts...that's a little over 2X what we've seen already. I read somewhere that Forza 2 pushed 80 or 90 thousand polys per car, and PGR4 was somewhere around 100,000 per car. I also am reeling from the fact that this is a first-generation racing game for the PS3. I can only dream of what we'll see after this.
I was playing a Japanese import of this game in my local independant store and can honestly say that you don't look at the pit crew, you're too busy looking at the cars. just wish they'd integrated chat into this, at least it'll be in the full game.
a rumbling steering wheel for this game.
Graphics being good and all, but do they need 6 Skylines? Those spots could have been used by a Supra, RX7, RX8, IS350 & a Viper or Corvette
The pit crew and in car camera view are great additions to the games.
hey quick question. do you think it was a really bad idea releasing the prologue for 40$ just 10 days before GTA4? i know i was planning on getting it but with gta the following week im not gonna have time to play it.
ummm... yes ? :) I can't wait any longer :) Prologue is superb i can't imagine full GT5 :)
Yes it is... Oh wait you mean bad for GTP then No. Seriously though their two different types of games unless GTA4 has some sick races they shouldn't affect each other to much.
Cant wait to play this on PSN ooh i can see it now mind blowing cars and tons of fun :)
The irradiance falloff was a dead giveaway, and I love to use it for my CG renders. It adds a lot more depth to the image it affects. RSX rocks at lens simulations (according to Ninja Theory).
30 dollars for a demo, are you mad??????
clearly mad...This is so worth $30...
Best time to view and enjoy CGI people and surroundings is only on replay mode. Besides that it's the all important driving/racing/competing which is far more entertaining. Will be waiting in a few days time for my copy from Japan ( can't wait ), and another copy I'ved pre-ordered here in Australia which will be coming-out in April but with more cars --- ( worldwide release disc on Blu-Ray will have an additional number of vehicles than those from Japan. )
