Far Cry 3 Review | 2nd Impact

Far Cry 3 might be one of the most hyped games of the years and to be honest it might be one of the best titles of the year aswell. This game will offer you a lot more than a normal first person shooter and will keep you occupied for days, if not for weeks if you go and explore the other modes the game has to offer. 90/100

why must console gamers always downplay the VAST improvements the pc versions of games ALWAYS have

a little less, thats horribly innacurate, would you consider the wii version of modern warfare 3 to be "a little less" than the 360 version, well the difference between AAA multiplats on ps3/360 versus pc is WAY bigger

on console, the games have jaggies, run at 20-30 frames, screen tear, sub-hd, 600p resolutions, sometimes lower, 540p alan wake, sometimes, rarer these days, if you are lucky, 720p

pc, 1080p, 1200p, 1440p, 1600p, up to more than 4x the image quality in just pixels, then add in 16x AA, dx11, ssao, depth of field, soft shadows, ect....ect....ect....

the pc is 2 full generations beyond anything on console

The Xbox 360 version of FC3 got a 92, the PS3 a 90 and the PC an 89; what do those numbers tell you Taquitos?

Is all that really necessary? Of course a PC will always be more powerful than a console, that's just fact and there's nothing wrong with that

I'm a PS3 owner and I'd take the convenience of not having to upgrade anything to have an enjoyable gaming experience any day over the enhancements of a next-gen PC rig

Less ridiculous than ps3-360 comparisons when OH 360 has slighlty better textures omg theres 36 pixels decrease in resolution oh ahahahah theres no dynamic shadows on that wii, lmfao that gun looks better on 360 cos of bloom. If you want to see a real difference than go compare low settings to ultra in games like crysis and far cry. And stop counting pixels on console ports

Wait, what? I'm not counting or comparing anything. I could give less than half a shit about all of that stuff. I'm just fed up and annoying with this superiority BS I see in every forum, in every comment section.

Like I said, a high PC will obviously have better graphics and better whatever technical settings is available for a PC version. So what? We get that. It's just pure common sense. How does that have anything to do with how a game is on a console? I could see if the PC version had tons of features and areas that were absent in the console versions, then one could be justified in proclaiming the superiority of a PC.

But it doesn't. It's the same game, with the same features, the same missions. Like I said, lesser visuals are a worthy trade off for pure convienence and not having to spend some obscene amount of money for all the best graphics cards, etc
