Wii U shortage helping PS3,360 most definitely helping cause Wii U has proven thatit won't outsell the Wii when it launched.

So i have a unopened wii u 32gb should i keep it or sell it on craigslist?

G20WLY1340d ago

Up to you bud - have you changed your mind since buying it? Then sell it; you won't strugggle to this time of year. If not, keep it :)

Title needs correcting: Wii U "shortage" helping Xbox 360, PS3.

Fixed :P

LOGICWINS1340d ago

Wait till we get closer to Christmas. You'll easily be able to make a $100 profit from a desperate parent on Ebay/Craigslist.

Darth Gamer1340d ago

Keep it. There is no shortage. I live in Rochester N.Y. and called my local Gamestop looking for a deluxe model for my 4 children and was told they had 5 in stock. I picked one up along with the new Mario Bros game and a couple of screen protectors. They are out there if yiou need one. Just do some calling first.

Sell! Double/Triple the price. Then buy another one for yourself later on and you get more games and another controller.

Edit: report that spammer above me

SilentNegotiator1340d ago (Edited 1340d ago )

Sell while the supposed "shortage" is still perceived to exist.

Someone not keen enough to call around will spend $500+ on it.

@Darth Gamer,

While I'm not calling you a liar, I just called my Gamestop here in Columbus, OH to test this theory and they told me they have none and are not expecting any more until after Christmas. I'm in Target almost daily and I always check to see if they have them out of curiosity and they never do. The shortage is real my friend.

Fel081339d ago

Why are people doubting the shortage??? I've been calling every retail store in my area, and they have none. Oh, I forgot that hating on Nintendo on N4G makes you one of the "cool kids".

Megaton1339d ago

Sell it if you can. The shortage is a lie. They're everywhere.

Septic1339d ago

I'd hold on to it and sell it nearer to Christmas like Logic says.

I've bought a few but no where near as many as I originally planned because loads of places here in the UK are still taking pre orders which worries me.

It can't outsell it because it's sold out. How simple is that?
Also the Wii U sold over 400k at launch and the Wii sold 475k

Anon19741340d ago (Edited 1340d ago )

I thought it was back in stock everywhere. Wasn't there just an article about Gamestop getting these back in stock after the weekend? Just out of curiosity, I checked Gamestop, Futureshop and Bestbuy in my city and all 3 stores are showing Wii-U stock all across the city. They aren't available online, but quite a number of stores are reporting they have units. Good news for those who want one and weren't able to get one this weekend.

Edit: What's with the disagree? You don't want the Wii-U to be available?

Though searchs here in south texas aren't as successful for me.

1upgamer991339d ago

It already is selling as many as the Wii did at launch...and its not even global yet.

...as if PS3/360 ever needed the help!

gpturbo811340d ago

tendo nearing 100m wii sales. sony 360 nearing 70m. scoreboard

rataranian1340d ago (Edited 1340d ago )

Shortage where? I work at a company that just received 2 pallets of wii U's yesterday.

ronin4life1340d ago

Keyword there is yesterday.

rataranian1340d ago

We've been getting them steadily since launch. They aren't as sold out as people on here seem to think.

ConstipatedGorilla1339d ago

In Columbus OH, they are sold out. You guys have to understand that only some parts of the country have them. Just because you got 2 pallets doesn't mean the United States is stocked to the brim with Wii Us.

Cerbus1340d ago

There is no shortage almost every store in Austin has them.

ozzywazzy1340d ago

Same in Philly. Originally from Austin though, awesome.
