Most Anticipated Games of 2013 | GamingCapacity

It seems that with every year of this generation the games have only got better and better. Last year we had the pleasure of playing such gems as Portal 2, Skyrim, Batman: Arkham City and Uncharted 3. This year has been just as brilliant if not more so with Mass Effect 3, Borderlands 2 and some excellent indies like Journey and Bastion. Can 2013 live up to the last 2 incredible years?

I actually just started becoming interested in The Last of Us after catching up with the Walking Dead this weekend. I see plenty of similarities in these franchises, so if I like TWD, I should be able to find some type of enjoyment from The Last of Us.

After watching the latest episode of the walking dead this week I honestly get more pumped for the last of us.The way humans are against each other and the infected really adds a lot of tense because it's all survival of the fittest. Plus the road vibe also comes to mind too.

I've been thinking the exact same thing. Sony should do some sort of promotion for the game with AMC during the second half of this season or just have a trailer released during commercial break. Thats what EA did for Mass Effect 3 and Microsoft did for Halo 4

I know the games that others have listed will be profitable. I know I'm a minority. But, I wish companies would realize that there are too many shooters, and action RPGs, and start making some money off the other gamers out there.

So because you didn't buy too many games, it wasn't a great two years? There was a lot more stuff out there worth buying than just what you bought, and not all of it was a shooter or action RPG.

Journey, for example, which is perhaps the best game of this generation(in my opinion, at least).

And, really, what's wrong with a good action rpg or shooter? It seems almost like you disliked those games just to spite them; just because a game or genre is popular doesn't mean it's no good.

I said it wasn't a great two years, for EVERYONE. If I thought there were more great games to buy, I would. I know there are plenty of games that MOST gamers think are great. I just don't share that opinion.

I'm the minority that hates shooters. I like action RPGs, but there are WAY too many of them. We need turn-based, and strategy RPGs.

The Last of Us is my most anticipated game for next year. The game looks fantastic and I can't wait for it. Naughty Dog has always been one of my favorite developers, and it seems that they've done it again with this game.

Cant wait for next year so many good games coming out for PS3,PC and Vita. Last of us gonna push AI on consoles to the next lvl if the demo footage is anything to go by.

I dont think it needs the caveat "on consoles".

The AI in LoU looks better than any game on any platform. I think its something the industry really needed as its been a neglected area this gen.
