Wii U - Even Gaming Journalists Have Become Trolls

Anthony Accinelli of StrengthGamer writes, "Several hours later I couldn't believe what I was playing. I immediately hopped online to read the reactions of other gamers out there, only to be met with hate and cynicism.

I shrugged it off as typical troll behavior and moved to the next site. Much to my surprise I was greeted by the same negativity. Only this time it was by some of the more well-respected gaming journalists out there (if there actually are any of those anymore)."

About time someone said something. I don't own a Wii U, but the troll comments are absurd. Don't talk about something you don't know about!

And yet, the PS3 hate continues...

When have game journalists NOT been trolls and fanboys?

cleft51369d ago

While game "journalists" have always loved gaming, they use to make an effort to separate their personal opinion and feelings from how good a game was. It didn't always work but they tried to be objective. Those days are long gone now.

It's only commonplace for people to put stuff down that they don't have. Whether it's due to jealously or just plain good ol' fashioned fanboyism at its finest. Some people just can't accept the idea of owning multiple gaming systems, so they have to trash something they don't even own.

I for one love everything Nintendo, but I also own a 360. I do this so that I get the best of both worlds. The awesome Nintendo 1st and 2nd party games, and then any 3rd party games that won't appear on a Nintendo platform.

Problem solved, the world goes on, everyone is happy.

That's stupid, unless you like games in general than it makes no sense to own all of those consoles, one should be sufficient.

Neonridr1369d ago

all of those consoles? You mean two?

Why is that so bad?

If I go with Nintendo then I miss out on Halo, Gears of War, and some big 3rd party titles that won't appear on the Wii U (unless they get announced). If I go with Microsoft then I miss out on Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Pikmin, Super Smash Brothers.

Sony exclusives don't interest me enough right now (that may change when the PS4 comes around). But to sit there and say that you can't own two consoles and that one is enough is stupid. Why should I limit my gaming experience if money isn't an issue? That's very shortsighted of you.

I am definitely approving this article as what those journalists are doing is wrong.

LOL, this has always happened, what changes is when "we" choose to see it.
