Skyrim PS3 DLC Still 'Being Worked On'

It seems that Skyrim will still be getting that DLC after all... (PS3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim)

Jinkies  +   593d ago
You know this still makes me think at the back of my mind

"People voted these guys for best studio last year at the VGAs over NaughtyDog and Valve"
Tired  +   593d ago
It won best game before most people had the chance to get anyway through it.

I wonder how well the DLC will sell.

I won't be wasting any money on it.

Just rent the GOTY edition, theres bound to be one at some point in the future
darkride66  +   593d ago
I'll be all over this DLC day one. Skyrim on my PS3 has been flawless for me, and one of the best games this gen in my opinion. Given that it's sold over 4 million copies on the PS3, I'm sure the DLC will sell fine.
MAJ0R  +   593d ago
Skyrim flawless on the PS3? Umm...
Blastoise  +   593d ago
Hype and fanboys. Skyrim wasn't GOTY worthy either.

With all the awesome quality games released in 2011 it still irritates me that it won.

No.. It isn't Game of the year.. It's game of the whole Gen, in the top 5 games of gaming history seriously. Then again I played it on 360 and pc. I remember my first rpg.. Pokemon blue on the big ass Grey Gameboy... And the genre has advanced to this. F'IN AMAZING.

Skyrim best game this gen? one of the top 5 in history? LOL.
You need to play more games.
Ducky  +   593d ago
At least they're committed to working on it rather than just giving up.

I'm not even sure why people are upset over the lack of DLC since I haven't found any of it to be all that appealing.

"I haven't found any of it to be all that appealing."

Yeah thats you though other people want to experience that DLC.

^ That is a really awkward position to be in.

On one hand, Bethesda must suck if they can't even do proper QA on their games or get the DLC to work on PS3.

On the other hand, Bethesda must be awesome if people are genuinely upset that they can't give Bethesda more of their money by buying DLC. DLC which is likely to have Bethesda's trademark quality and which hasn't even gotten much critical praise either.

So this means that either Bethesda deserved StudioOfTheYear, or, their delayed DLC is really just preventing a few fools from parting with their money.

Look PS3 fans bought the game, knew from Bethesda past games that this game would also get DLC, was promised that both version would be the same, then they get screwed over.

It dosen't matter if it's good or not people still will want to play it. I mean what you said before was like you were speaking for them, let them decide when they finally get the chance to play on it.

Besides I think the majority of them are hoping it will be cheap or even free after how long it's took and I honestly don't blame them

That was an atrocity. The VGAs are a fucking joke.
NYC_Gamer  +   593d ago
Bethesda PS3 software should be half price since they can't program for the console
Wigriff  +   592d ago
I'd say free. Hell, I think Pete Hines should offer PS3 owners free DLC and blowjobs after all the years we have gotten the short end of the stick from them.
Dungus  +   593d ago
Not fussed anymore, to be honest. Thanks for nothing!
barb_wire  +   593d ago
2013 for sure before PS3 users see any DLC.. and by that time, who's gonna bother with it?
is it free? or cheap?

hahaha =D

not funny.
sdozzo  +   593d ago
game has been out a year. It's not really DLC anymore. Haha
cyberninja  +   593d ago
Hope nobody buys it.
ABizzel1  +   593d ago
It better be free.
jaklink  +   593d ago
Bethesda should include all of the DLC in a package and sell it for a discounted price. It's absolutely ridiculous that it's taken this long. The ambiguity on their end has only made things worse.
TacticAce  +   593d ago
If bethesda goes back to only making games for the xbox and pc then I wont be mad at them for doing it. I think its sony fault for making a system thats hard for developers to develop on.
lodossrage  +   593d ago
That's no excuse at this point
It would be one thing if this had happened during their creation of Oblivion for the PS3. But from then to now, they've put out Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Fallout New Vegas all before Skyrim.

So they KNEW what they were working with by now. And knew it WELL.
Adva  +   593d ago
Dear, go jump off a table and hit your face while falling down. It's hard that must be why pretty much 90% of the devs are pretty good at it?

Bethesda=amateurs at programming, simple.
TacticAce  +   593d ago
Really? These are the kinds of people who disagrees with me? Predictable.
Wigriff  +   592d ago
"We've never blamed anyone or anything. It's our problem, and it's on us to solve it,”..."We have never blamed Sony/PS3." - Pete Hines, vice president of Bethesda Softworks over public relations and marketing of games published by Bethesda.

Obviously you're wrong.

Additionally, concerning the development of Skyrim initially, revealed after the initial release:

""The team knew the PlayStation 3 version could run into a ‘bad memory situation’ and they coded solutions that they felt would work – and in their tests the solutions did work..."

This is pathetic. Rockstar is about to release one of the largest open-world games in history, on the LEADING platform PS3, and they don't seem to have any problems when it comes to the PS3's small amount of RAM. Bethesda has absolutely NO excuse for their Skyrim port or this DLC BS.

There is no lead platform for GTA V,

"There is no lead platform, they are developing the game at the same time for both PS3 and XBOX360"

Bethesda should have made a separate SKU for the PS3 version of Skyrim, not just a lazy port to the PS3.
NewVegasTroop  +   593d ago
And this is why I´m anxiously wating for the GOTY edition with all the DLC and patches out of the box.
Skate-AK  +   593d ago
At this point they need to make it free.
Memo-Xen x3100  +   592d ago
Waste of time!

EDIT : Seriously hope they have this ready by the time the PS4 and NEXTBOX drop though.
