Can The God Game Make A Comeback?

Last week, Peter Molyneux, the Man Of Many Promises, took some time out from overseeing Curiosity to put up a new video on Kickstarter announcing a new project that would rely on crowdsource investment. The name of the project? Godus. The point of it? To go back to his earliest roots and create a new title for the ailing “God Game” genre that he first created back in 1989 with Populous. (Android, GODUS, iPad, iPhone, Kickstarter, PC)

The only God game I got into was the ActRaiser series and it was pretty innovative and fun. I hope it gets re-released soon, it'd work well on a handheld or as a tablet game.

Pete, the washed up, bring about a "comeback" for God games?

Riiiiight. Just like the creators of DOOM will give shooters a "comeback" from general mediocrity....No, wait, they only ended up created RAGE.
