Halo 4 Review | HAL

Isaac Wagner: "The story of Halo 4's existence threatens to overshadow the actual game itself. A long time ago, Bungie departed Microsoft, abandoning Halo in the process. To shepherd the future of Halo, brand new studio 343 Industries was created. They decided for their first title to wake Master Chief up and announce that his fight was far from over by announcing a new trilogy of titles staring him. I do the story a disservice with my poor retelling, but the only thing that truly matters is Halo 4's existence justified? Does 343 Industries have a good reason for waking John-117 up? Does Halo still matter? Despite some disappointing rough spots and feeling more familiar than it should, Halo 4 proves that waking up the Chief was an excellent idea." (Halo 4, Xbox 360) 4/5
