Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (Wii U) Review | Trendy Gamers

Since we’ve already written a review for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on the other systems, and the Wii U version is the exact same in terms of content, this review will zero in on what makes the Wii U version different. From GamePad enhancements (or lack thereof), performance, and online play, we look at it all.

- Trendy Gamers (Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Wii U) 7.5/10

The frame rate issues are grossly exaggerated. I've yet to even notice it drop to 30fps and even then it spends most of it's time far north of that it seems.

It's in HD and the community is growing. I don't understand how this low player count is a negative mark on the Wii U version when the game is only a week old. I've already seen the player in the thousands this past week.

Give it time people. The community on Miiverse has a lot more users too. Once Xmas hits it should pick up a lot

what does it being in hd have to do with anything? of course it is

and they said there were 500 people online after a week. the other systems had 500,000 after a week

The other consoles have been out for 6 years. Not a fair comparison at all.

Also like Neonridr points out the Wii U version isn't out in Europe right now

Absolutely. I tried out the first mission the other night and the game ran like a charm. It was a little tough getting used to the new button layout as I am so used to the 360's, but hardly anything to worry over. I will get used to it the more I play it.

Come the end of the week it launches over in Europe, so we will see the player count go up again.

The only thing I was disappointed about was the lack of inclusion of stereoscopic 3D. This was actually a feature I quite enjoyed playing through Black Ops 1 on my 360. I have no clue why Treyarch included it in the 360 and PS3 versions but not the Wii U version since they are basically identical.

Given it a month or two and the online should be decent. Not to mention Wii controls, which I really liked on the Wii. Its a shame they were never brought over to PS move.

Interesting, would love to try out the Wii U version for myself

Sounds slightly underwhelming. But I have heard more positive assessment's of this version too.

Since Call of Duty Black Ops 2 is possibly the best shooter ever released, I don't blame people for being disappointed with the online numbers for the Wii U. This is a game to experience with the masses, and the Wii U just isn't delivering.

Online numbers seriously????? Its been out for 7 days, the system sold 400,000 units, you can't possibly expect every person who bought a Wii-U to buy Call of Duty. And there are more than 500 players online. Everyday the numbers change due to who's online so its unrealistic to say that.

As for it being choppy, I went to my friends house after hearing about framerate issues to try it out myself. I have seen none, and the online was flawless when I played. I'm not saying its not there, but I didn't see anything that made me feel the game was "broken". It actually looks really good as well. My suggestion is do what I did, and play it before judging it as I think some people tend to embelish a lot online.
