DOOM 3 BFG Edition Review (www.ComboCaster.com)

For most fans of the franchise DOOM 3 was met with criticism for its cheap scares, lack of charisma and stylistic follow a path different from the previous titles. Doom 3 has not aged well in the eyes of most fans. However, DOOM 3 remains as a solid horror shooter with a spooky atmosphere, and BFG Edition underlines this, not only as a celebration of a game that has earned a reputation unjust, but as a collection worthy of the license which introduced the world one of the best FPS of all time.
Maybe it's a bit of a surprise to Bethesda and id Software choose to market this version as Doom 3, since the inclusion of the two original titles makes it much more like a collection DOOM and, in my opinion, would have made the game much more marketable. However, this compilation of titles and additional content longer works properly celebrating three classic shooters and provided they are not a PC gamer is that it really is. (Doom 3 BFG Edition, PC, PS3, Xbox 360) 8.4/10

if you own it on pc, there is no point, there are already WAY better looking mods, with more free gameplay

if you only have a console, wait till you get a 5 year old gaming pc that can play it 10x better than ps3/360 can, it looks like garbage on console, performs awful and is loaded with jaggies and screen tear

lol////look at that sweet console version, can't even play a 2004 game without looking like totally a$$

honestly, a $300 pc you could buy on craiglist would destroy anything ps3/360 are capable of, they have been on the market WAY too long

The original PC version looks amazing with Sikkmod and the Wulfen Monoxead textures. Throw in the Trent Reznor sound pack and you get the best experience out of Doom 3.
