After many previews and tons of speculation and analysis, Superbot has finally released the game Playstation fans have been waiting on for a long time. Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale is Sony's version of a mash-up party fighting game that brings together some of Sony's biggest characters for the first time. While many comparisons have been made to Nintendo's mega hit Super Smash Brothers, the folks at Superbot Entertainment are looking to have a game that takes the best of such games and expand upon it, while still having something new and fresh for fans of the genre. With a great cast of over 20 characters, there is a lot of Playstation love in this game. Yet is it a success or a complete and utter failure as a cookie cutter cop out? The answer to such a question is not so simple or straight forward, and requires some deep examination of the game to fully realize the truth. (PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, PS3, PSP) 7/10
