As demand for Xbox 360 console bundles increase, Microsoft Store starts to sell out online

It shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that the Xbox 360 console is still one of the top holiday gifts for gamers. Microsoft and its Xbox 360 brand are going on their twentieth straight month as the best selling video-game console on the market. Even after being on the market for seven years, the console continues to sell out of stock over the holidays, which can cause consumer headaches as customers search for the best deal.

No price cut in over 4 years and the 360 it still selling out, very impressive.

MS likely sold well over 1m in the US alone this month.

Considering sales are so slow this year for games and consoles, I think MS just hasnt been shipping a lot of consoles and stock is finally clearing with the holiday season.

most probably, but the new bundles are really good deals as well and are selling out fast.

The years when these cosoles will sell massive numbers at these prices all year long may be long behind us.

Black friday is what people look forward to all year long. I watched on the news where someone on this huge Walmart line mentions the 360 specifically when they ask what he was witing to get.

It trips me out that no one believed it will still be here after all of these years, but like I've mentioned since E3, MS set up the system to still do well 7 years later despite really tough competition from the other consoles.

It'll be interesting to see the numbers but I can't imagine them topping last years record numbers in a big way.

Xbox doesn't need a price cut as long as the price is cheaper than the ps3.

Other than that, I don't think we need nextbox next year Cuz the 360 is on a major roll and doesn't seem like the sales in America is going to stop anytime soon.

Let the current Gen just keep on rolling :)

So half the limited quality bundles on the online store sold out and half are still available. And we have no idea how many bundles were available in the first place.

"Breaking news! Undisclosed numbers of Xbox 360 bundles sold during Black Friday sale online! Half the bundles still available!"

Umm...yeah? I'm sorry, how is this news?

Edit: No seriously! Where's the news here? "360's sell during Black Friday" isn't news, it's common sense. I don't care if we're talking Wii-U bundles, PS3 bundles, 3DS bundles, Wii bundles, where the hell is the news on one online store advertising limited quantities being sold out of some or even all of those bundles? They could have offered 3 units or 3 million units. This "article" is absolutely meaningless.

@ mcstorm below. "Good to see the 360 still selling well."
Really? You got that from this article? How? Given that they revealed not a single number, how do you know they're selling well? This isn't a shot at the 360 at all, but at this poor excuse for an article. Did they sell 300 bundles online? 3000? 2 million? 3? This is meaningless. How do sites keep getting away with this crap? "Online retailer sells some 360's. We don't know how many." is not an article. Who approved this?

Well Darkride66, I guess selling out and being out of stock is a better then not selling at all and the shelves are packed with 360's regardless of the amount of units that has been sold.

EVILDEAD3601337d ago (Edited 1337d ago )

The bundles get better and better every year for all of his gen's consoles. Both Sony and MS will do good numbers.

Lol @ the 360 selling consoles still eating Darkride alive.People never change.

Last year he was so mad he tried to pretend MS was lying about their numbers (on N4G and his site) before the financial report proved him wrong.

the Xbox 360 is always doing fantastic during the holiday season. It has the best holiday lineup this year, so this is totally deserved.
