Mass Effect 4 needs to be a prequel

PSU.com writes:

"No doubt every fan has their own ideas as to what Mass Effect 4 should be, but for us, we’d love to see a prequel. Despite the fact we’re curious to see how the galaxy recovers following the attempted Reaper invasion, there’s simply too much lore worth exploring to pass up the opportunity of a prequel." (Mass Effect 4, Next-Gen, PC)

Why not a sequel where players can customize their own new character, and the character has the opportunity to experience crucial points via a seemingly omniscient character in mass effect history cinematically. That way you have a sequel and prequel, you know since there is so many juicy things to explore but too many to focus on only one and everyone wants to see the aftermath.
