Does The Walking Dead Demonstrate a Future in Episodic Content?

With the final episode of The Walking Dead game just released, the undead duo of Dan and Seb limp through another episode of Daily Reaction. This week we discuss how influential the most successful episodic console games to date could change the future of the industry. With the series high sales I wouldn't be surprised. Low initial investment and potentially huge profit margins? What publisher isn't drooling over that?

I'm surprise this came from telltales, it's their best title thus far (prob. cause they had writing help).

Funny enough writing has never been telltale's problem gameplay was always there problem and it was improved greatly hope they keep it up.

Yeah, a big leap forward in gameplay. Still a bit too buggy though.

I'm surprised as well. I tried playing some of their titles I got free from PS+ (Back to the Future, and Sam and Max) I really couldn't stand those games, the gameplay was just terrible. The Walking Dead is a lot better chiefly due to the story/decisions. I still think they need to work on their gameplay, and technical issues though.

Also I think it's hilarious Tell Tale got nominated Spikes VGA's for best developer this year...the hell? Just like last year when Bethesda was nominated (I think they may have won?) despite the buggy/broken PS3 version of Skyrim.

Well Valve and Half Life 2 sure as hell didn't do Episodic content right! LOL

Perfect Games but man do they make you wait a lifetime in between Games! I Guess that's why they call if "Half Life" cause you spend Half your Life waiting for a new game! [yeh yeh yeh I know....hey It's late and I'm sleepy typing this]

TWD game was awesome, sadly I ran into so many bugs with Ep 4 that I couldn't finish it.

I think the Walking Dead is an exception, not a beacon of hope. Half-Life 2: Episode 3 looms over episodic gaming.

Goddddddd the last episode....what a tear jerker. Love Clementine if I ever have a daughter Id love for her to be just like her.
