Codemasters confirmed this morning that a "major announcement" concerning The Lord of the Rings Online will be made at its Connect 2008 conference in Birmingham next month.
The news will hit at a press preview on March 14, ahead of the public event on March 14-15. There are no details on what to expect as regards the LotRO update, but a presentation by developer Turbine has been confirmed.
Turbine today announced the launch of beta client for The Lord of the Rings Online for Mac. Mac users in Europe can play the award-winning free-to-play massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) on Mac starting from today, including the recently released Riders of Rohan expansion.
Developers are turning to the free-to-play model in order to maintain player bases and gain revenue. Is this a viable strategy?
Albatross Revue are happy to present these screenshots to show some of the exciting in-game rewards that can be earned during the five-year anniversary festival activities as well as some of the gifts that players will receive automatically as a thank you for playing. Rewards will be given according to how long a player has been playing. Lord of the Rings Online celebrates its five year anniversary on April 24, 2012
I hope that the news is that there is a 360 and PS3 version in the works.
After three free addons there will be an expansion. There is no way this game is coming to the console unless you have a keyboard an mouse.
perfect for the PS3 then....
Keyboard and Mouse are what I consider normal recommended accessories now for the PS3
