Sumo Digital's Steve Lycett recently commented in an interview that he thinks the Mario Kart franchise can learn a thing or two from the recently released Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.
Every weapon should be evade-able like in Transformed, for starters. BS items are the reason I stopped playing Mario Kart.
i still play CTR , the demo for this game is imperessive , definately picking it up for christmas for my lil bro
What can Mario Kart learn from Sega All-Stars?
Mario Kart can pretty much learn from most racing games out there. It hasn't really evolved in almost two decades since it came out. Mario Kart Double Dash was a nice attempt that they, of course, gave up on with later releases. Picture Related (?) http://25.media.tumblr.com/...
I'm pretty sure Mario Kart doesn't need any advice..
Because it's perfect and doesn't need to change at all, and none of the other kart games out there do ANYTHING better, right? And people wonder why LPB Karting got the scores it did...
Everybody knows why LBP Karting got low scores but thanks for bringing up a Sony game. How expected of someone like you.
I kinda have to agree. Mario Kart has been playing it rather irritatingly safe over the years. I'd like if they sped the racing up a bit with more ambitious tracks and new ideas. Just something to evolve. And get rid of blue shells, ugh...
Biggest complaint are the weapons that help out players in 3rd to last place. It encourages players to hang back get a good weapon and fly into first. Also that flying blue shell nneds to lose it's wings. a good thing about it in Kart 64 was the blue shell had a chance of hitting other players in back of the 1st player.
