20 Greatest Call Of Duty Maps

WC writes: Of course, the most important aspect of multiplayer are the maps. No one wants to play on a crude, badly-designed map, but a well thought out one. Obviously people have different game styles and therefore different opinions on what map type is the best. Personally, I prefer smaller maps as I am an attack-minded player, relishing the prospect of rushing around the maps.

In this article, I will do a count-down of the 20 greatest maps in the Call of Duty franchise up to Black Ops 2. However, only maps that came with the base-game will be featured in this article. (Call of Duty, PC, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360)

Nuketown, Dome, and Mission do not deserve their rankings. They forgot the CoD 4 map Shipment which was amazing, also they did not include MW2's Afghan, any MW3 map should not be on the list they're all horrible and clusterbucks. CoD 4 Maps > MW2 Maps/Black Ops 2 > WaW/Black Ops > CoD 2.

I'm not even including MW3 maps.

No Overgrown, District, or Strike? Crash that far down the list? Not going to break it down map by map, this list is horrible.

WaW had the best maps in my opinion. The best being Castle, Banzai, Courtyard and Dome.

Call of Duty 4 had the most varied, balanced, and enjoyable maps. MW2 weren't too bad, had variety, but because of Activi$ion they couldn't make them better. Black Ops 2 I'm still not sure about. Overall, the thinking of "SMALL MAPS FTW" is stupid, every small map has cramped and ugly gameplay.
