Grand Theft Auto V to Follow Halo 4's PC Absence? - Nick's Gaming View Episode #105
"Grand Theft Auto V to possibly follow the route of Halo 4 and abandon PC, Star Wars: The Old Republic goes free-to-play, and Wii U’s software preorders more than double that of the original Wii, THIS IS NICK’S GAMING VIEW!"
(Grand Theft Auto V, Halo 4, PC, PS3, Star Wars:The Old Republic, Wii, Wii U, Xbox 360)
Exactly, but wasn't Halo 2 just a plug for Windows Vista? it did come out about three years after the Xbox version. I could care less if Halo 4 doesn't come out for PC, it's not like Halo 3, ODST and REACH did anyway. I don't believe for a second that Rockstar will choose to skip the PC for GTA5. That would be a shame.
It will come to PC late, rock star is convinced its the way they should do things... Oh well, blizzard are still my favorite devs despite some disappointment with diablo 3.
Yeah, because releasing it on consoles first makes the most money, if it launched same day on PC a lot of people would just pirate it. Yeah I know you can pirate console games but it's far less common. PC gamers are the notorious theives of the gaming industry.
I don't think that's logical at all, not releasing on pc makes less money unless there is no market for it there. Delaying the pc version causes the pc version to sell less than it would have. Most pirates will just wait and buy it used if they cant pirate it for some reason.
Since the 360 came out, it just seemed like MS would want it to be on their console to help sell it. It isn't made by bungie so I guess there is a small chance since it's a different entity, but I doubt it, as it's still MS.
It would be quite stupid not to bring it out for PC. Systems are more powerful versus what they were when GTA IV came out. Though GTA IV didn't run very well on PC's. Pretty bad port, and sucked up a lot of CPU. Even an i7 920 @4 ghz and a GTX 670 can't run it very well, and it's not like the graphics are stunning.
Hopefully they bring it out for the PC, and if not GTA V, VI should really be on the Wii U.
Rockstar games always crap on my 360, so no way in hell I'm buying another Rockstar game on my 360.
It was hinted that "A potential PC version is only “up for consideration,” No, there is no PC version existing atm even though Rockstar is hard at work making the game. They thought about it for the PC...and that was it.
They are currently promoting and building GTAV as we speak but no one among them are looking at the PC SDK. Nothing. A lot of PC versions of other games are delayed only by a month or less nowadays. The PC version is delayed because they don't want to atm. So if they start making the PC version a year after the console version (there will be months of patches and DLC making take them away from the PC version) and then release it a year after that...what's the point? GTA5 will become a mere curiosity for high end graphic card owners while the rest of the flock will be playing Sleeping Dogs 2 and Just Cause 3-which will predictably adjust some game elements to top GTAV by then.
As much as I want to have faith with Rockstar (I enjoyed Max Payne 3 very much) but such blatant display of fleeting commitment to the PC is wearing down on PC gamers. I have a feeling that most PC gamers just want Rockstar to say out loud they really don't want to make games for the PC anymore and leave us alone. No cruel teases like this. There are so many other open world third person crime games out there that proved to be much more fun.
Nick clearly knows nothing about video games.
Also i agree with the other chap, instead of halo why not mention red dead! But then again pc had la noire and max payne, odd really
This is NICK'S LIFE UNDER A ROCK!

Hey, it's the thought that matter right?
