Review: Wii U - 10 Things I Love, 2 Things I Don't

Anthony Accinelli of StrengthGamer writes, "This post was intended to be titled "Wii U - 10 Things I Love, 10 Things I Don't". Problem is that I'm finding it incredibly difficult to find that many things to not like about the Wii U." (Wii U) -

Couple of people said wallmart has alot of them in their stores. The whole sold out thing is a hype.

It depends on the city. I saw a list somewhere that listed cities and stores that were sold out and not sold out. I'll try and find it.

Edit: http://www.gameinformer.com...

Looks like best bet to find a wiiu is at target.

I agree with this list... No achievements sucks, and Miivers is the perfect place for achievements. Really a missed opportunity from Nintendo.

No headphone jack on the Pro Controller sucks, and the placement of the headphone jack on the top of the gamepad was kinda stupid.

The good far outweighs the bad, but there are some things I don't like here and there.

I dont know why but I never got into the whole achievement thing ... So not having them doesnt bother me at all because I felt like it added little to no value... Headphone jack is actually pretty annoying ... wonder how third parties are going to work around this?

Once Nintendo patches the OS a little and refines some of what it already has I think the system will be great. It took MS and Sony a while for their system OS's to be top notch and glitch free so I dont expect Nintendo to be perfect out the gate... The Miiverse was really a great idea and adds to the system greatly.

The only thing I found annoying was the lack of a wired Ethernet port on the system. Seems kind of silly not to include such an inexpensive part, especially if they want to push the online capabilities of the system. Not really a deal breaker, and I dealt with it, but still kind of annoying.

Overall though I see a lot of potential for the system. I did see some of the multiplayer implementation (in-house, not on-line) of the software to be really lacking. Completely unintuitive even for a tech-head like me. Could just be because I'm not used to what's common on a Nintendo platform anymore. I hope developers really wrap their heads around the tablet soon, and I'm sure there will be some great games for it.
