Sony Computer Entertainment has opened a new indie-friendly developer portal for its PlayStation Mobile games framework, in a new bid to lure app developers onto its range of smartphones, tablets and handhelds. (PlayStation Mobile, PS Vita, Sony Computer Entertainment)

HOLY CRAP this is good, I really hope we see some cool musical applications on the Vita in the future..

I need to email Reactable and tell them they need to make an app for the Vita. This should give them a good fight against all this smart phone and tablet nonsense also.

Fuck playing all these AAA titles on IOS / Android touch screens they can now use the Vita and it's two analog sticks and it's buttons.. although I still probably won't play them or buy them but that is another story.

I really hope developers get interested in Sony. Now this and they have Gaikai, their future is looking very bright.

I like the fact that with only $99 a dev can put as many apps/games/whatever on PS certified devices for an entire year. Of course the content has to be approved by Sony for obvious reasons but if a dev is really good at what they do the skies the limit.
