Treyarch was planning on removing the Nuketown 2025 map from the online playlists, relegating it to just Custom Games and upcoming ‘special events’. But this news didn’t sit well with people who pre-ordered the game before launch solely for access to this map, forcing them say not-so-nice things on Twitter, and Treyarch has responded to this outcry by bringing it back.
Doing this in the first place made NO sense.
IMO they should still have the original playlist because of that statement alone.
Oh well, I guess, I love Hijacked. Which is close enough.
it's a stupid, uninteresting map that is plagued by spawn killing.
it just goes to prove that COD players don't have any interest in quality...just easy gratification for meaningless tasks.
Let me know if you are not in the US, I'll try to accommodate you elsewhere.
:)
I have to say all those other maps are so tiny also... I already got bored of them.... it took 1 week..
EDIT: Just read their reply, they took it out because it fragments the community yet they'll add it to a small maps moshpit rotation which will introduce the fragmented problem instead of keeping it separate so those that pre-ordered can enjoy it. Still a load of bull.
"fragments the community" that is going to happen no matter what for one, and two its no different than the stupid 24/7 Metro servers on Battlefield 3.....
It's whatever, I play for fun, so I enjoyed it being there for fun. If you want to compete, go join a league.
I still vote this is a very big, stupid (dick) move and further confirms that Activision is out for $ and bragging rights. I'm so glad I'm NOT part of the crowd that bought it; good game or not this is still 0 excuse on their part.
they should of giving the preorders the map exclusive for a couple weeks or something... way to fragment the community and give us who dont have the map no option to get in .. damn retrded behavior to treat your customers..
Then again maybe that's exactly what they wanted
Why can't we just get nuketown 24/7 back? The way it was.
We need our traditional sensibilities back! This is another example of how our countries origins are slipping away. It is not a good thing.
A higher up at Activision noticed that over 300k people are in that playlist at any given time and they thought that it might hinder DLC sales since everyone likes that map and would not buy the DLC since they are fine playing that 24/7.
Just my hunch.
