Wired - 10 Things I Hate About Wii U

On Sunday, Nintendo finally released Wii U, its new game console. We’ve raved about early launch games like NintendoLand and New Super Mario Bros. U, showing that the big N still has the magic touch when it comes to making great play experiences.

Unfortunately, Nintendo is still lagging behind when it comes to creating what consumers are increasingly expecting out of their devices: a feature-rich, multimedia online experience. Wii U, available in $300 and $350 configurations, has a bunch of these features — Netflix, a social network feed called Miiverse, a digital game shop — but all of them have distinct problems that make the user experience less fun than it should be.

That's a clever article title. :)

I hope to get a Wii U soon. I'm more patient with launch consoles (Xbox 360 survivor right here), so I'm sure I'd still find stuff to like.

Wow it sounds like a mess.

Great read, would recommend it to any prospective Wii U buyers!
Know what you're getting before you bust the $350 on it.

I agree. but most of his arguments can be resolved by a system updates. also his arguments about TVii and/or netflix may only be true for now, since TVii comes out in December, which in effect also improve Netflix.

it's not like Microsoft Windows get released without bugs and errors that constantly require updates.

i do hope future Wii U's will be released with the 4-5GB system update pre-installed, and improve the transfer of data from Wii to Wii U. my internet connection speed is not that high to have the convenience of a quick system update.
