Wii U Impressions After One Day; Nintendo Has Changed The Game

Vortex Effect: This is an impressions article, not a review (you need more than a day with a piece of hardware to properly review it), but so far I am absolutely happy with my purchase of a Wii U and see it getting plenty of playing time far into the future. The GamePad really is a game changer, and for stuff like Madden, it’s going to be hard to want to play with a standard controller again. If you’re on the fence and even have a slight interest in playing Nintendo first-party titles, then I highly recommend the Wii U. The OS is a little slow, but it is, so far, proving to be a a great next gen console that warrants a place on your entertainment center. (Nintendo, Wii U)

Changed what? It's Wii all over again, a simple gimmick with little to NO innovation that gamers can consider unique or with potential that can't just be equally enjoyed on a standard controller.

Point being it's about games, Nintendo talk of all this innovation of controllers yet where are the games? More kiddy trash/mario/zelda.

Nintendo are doing what they did with the wii, over promise and under deliver. Unless you're 12 or old..the wii was a complete failure...fortunately for nintendo there are a lot of those casual and non gamers who adopted nintendo bullshit gimmick.

give it 6 months the WiiU will collect dust, Nintendo will rely on inferior looking ports and rehashes with tacked on controls. joke.

Isn't most of the features that the Wii U has are things Sony and Microsoft have been doing for a while now and things they should have been doing since the Wii? So doesn't that simply mean Nintendo is basically copying them right now? People keep praising Nintendo for the Wii U being a media center etc. but should we be saying instead 'it's about time you got your head out of the sand'? I mean it's fine that they are trying to improve but they are kind of late to the party. They came in nice looking clothes but are still late.People keep yelling that they have changed the game but how exactly have they changed the game?

They all want Nintendo to flop, but yet again everyone will be eager copy them one way or the other.

After reading that thing I have no idea how Nintendo has changed the game. That title is horrible.
