Article's numbers are a bit off. They forgot to count Okami HD which has a 90 avg and is exclusively on PS3 http://www.metacritic.com/g... . That would make it 3 for PS3 (Journey, Okami HD, MLB12: The Show).
Likewise they've seemingly counted a PC game for the 360 at some point, most likely Fez which the developers have stated is only a *timed* exclusive https://twitter.com/Polytro... much like Sine Mora was . That would make it 4 (Dance Central 3, Halo 4, Spelunky, Trials Evolution) not 5.

Technically 'Velocity' with an 87 avg IS a PS3 title too, much how Sound Shapes is listed for both PS3 and the Vita even though you only buy it once as well. Playstation Mini's are just the equivalent to XBLA's indy channel and are all playable on PS3. Metacritic is antiquated that way, only listing them on the PSP side even though I have over 20 freebies from PSPlus.
Marvel Pinball Avengers listed at an 88 for XBLA is also on PS3 and Vita, but doesn't have enough reviews (4, 5?) to show up on the PS3 side but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist on PSN and isn't 100% the exact same game. Another foible of meta'.

Yes, I realize now that Velocity was an oversight. Apologies. Given this information, the two systems now have the same number of original releases. However, the downloadable, indie, and exclusive numbers still apply.
As for the Pinball comment, you're absolutely spot-on. I was hoping my less-than-serious notes beyond the summaries would relay that this information should not be extrapolated to prove superiority.
Metacritic is flawed. Does anybody truly believe that this collection of iOS games is actually better than fantastic full-retail releases on other platforms? I seriously hope not.

They just need to be good to have 10s and 9s. If these games were on Ps3 or 360 they would have been bashed.
People expect much more these days from Home Consoles and dont expect much from IOS Games, thats the reason those are higher rated.
Its the same you have a Ferrari and a Opel. Sure Ferrari might be better but Opel could have the best grade since people wont expect much from Opel but still they could blew people mind and nobody was expecting that and Ferrari people are allways expecting the best so the scores would be lower since the bar is pretty high even if the car was a beast.
