NowGamer: The online hub was hacked accidentally, third-party games have major issues, there's limited RAM, HDMI problems… what exactly has gone wrong with the Wii U launch?
(Nintendo, Wii U)
some of this Seems like it is being over sensationalized. I mean that there are a few bugs but to take a single or even a few reports and present them in a way that makes it seem like an epidemic.
The patch...is it 5gb or only 1gb? If you think your system is stuck in the upgrade mode you can't simply turn it off. It isn't a windows PC so the bricking can be user caused.
All of these "issues" can and will be addressed. To think they won't is preposterous. Let's get through Xmas and then see what happens. The games will get better. The features will get better. The service will get better.
But I guess these had to be reported but there are those who feel compelled to say the sky is falling every time they see a leaf drop. It doesn't help when the trend of reporting something and reporting that report and then reporting that report leads to incomplete or possibly inaccurate information.
not much went wrong ...just a bunch of haters not wanting it to do well after the wii won last generation.....its not a ring of death..after the updates and features are on board...all will be fine..its a system with endless capabilities
Capabilities that can be/were done this gen though. Come next Xbox and playstation and things can go downhill for Nintendo real fast. If casuals continue not to buy third party games and if the core don't find buying games they already own necessary Nintendo can also loose third party support for the wiiU.
Not that I'm glad but there was a LOT of Vita is dead articles and not to mention Ninty fans commenting in full force. Anyway, so how does it feel guys when you hear comments such as "Yes, got a Wiiu, time to get an HD tv. yay!!!" comments?
what should nintendo do is to update the console before the release..with the questionable 5gb update people think that the console was really rushed..
Something went wrong? Almost everyone I know bought one. I myself bought 3 with 4 games each. I love my WiiU. What went wrong? The console is f*&# awesome! Or is this one of of those articles about "I didn't buy it or have it so let me bash it" type thing? Look me up in the Miiverse.

XD
It should not have a 5GB patch at day 1 and people should be more wary of what it can do.
*goes back to Nintendo's guinea pig labs*
That being said a huge update like that is a bit random, i do believe the console was somewhat rushed, don't know for sure.
Nintendo will no doubt address all this quickly.
oh really?
so its the first console in the history that is out of stock during the launch
pathetic
