Why ZombiU has received mixed reviews

ONM writes: ZombiU has split opinion. From 4.5 out of 10 to 92%, Ubisoft's survival horror game has been on the receiving end of some negative and positive reviews which has confused many Nintendo fans who just want to know if they should buy it or not. But why has it polarised opinion and why is there such a big difference between US and UK reviews?

maybe because some people like and some people don't? pretty weird logic Huh? you people need to stop taking a review so seriously all it is, is an opinion itself. formulate your own opinion by either buying or "renting" the game.

The audience for games writing sometimes believes that there is some kind of factual or objective correct and incorrect review of games. It's ridiculous, but this kind of thinking seems present in this industry.

except there is . Having a divergent opinion is not the same as botching your job for varied reasons . Too often are the two confused .

Not saying it's the case here of course , but when a review is more about posting innacurate infos and premade opinions , it's definitively an incorrect way to review games . And it has happened too often with ALL of the major review sites or magazines .

i get the second half but the first half had me saying what does this pseudo accusation about americans having something against british have to do with anything. weren't the british just blasting ubisoft about AC3 being insensitive towards british now they are praising them and saying we americans don't understand them. man people are ridiculous.

I havent gotten this game yet but I did notice in Miiverse last night that it had more people there then any other 3rd party game. Everyone playing the game seemed to love the challenge.

The funniest thing about the whole thing to me is how certain people hated the game since the day it was announced, and are sticking to the low scoring reviews as fact, while also dismissing or ignoring the good reviews.

Why because I know for a fact it isn't nearly as bad as everyone assumed it was going to be, I mean what kind of SP did people expect on a 4GB game card anyway..

Almost all the excellent single player games on the Vita pretty much use all the space on the card, killing any hopes for MP unless it added on later with DLC or something.

Regardless like you said it is better than Resistance and for it be getting far worse reviews is just stupid already, even me hating CoD ever since it moved to console will tell you that.

But no I got shit all month just for saying that, sorry I am observant. I mean it took one look at some real game play for me to figure out that it was just going to be added to the slew of petty Zombie games we already have.. the animations in that game were awful..

What does CoD and Resistance have to do with Zombie U?

Seriously it doesn't take you to point out there are fanboys on this site.
I can think of a certain person who talked of how Little big planet Karting sucked because of some of the mixed reviews, then went on to say one of the mixed Wii U titles was an "easy target" and "better than all the reviewers are saying".

Just leave them to it.

The same could be asked about AC3,HALO, and COD. It's mostly because people like different things. At the end of the day reviews are just opinions. I'm sure zombie U will have it's fans and it's haters.

This is a good game. Pick it up, It's worth it. When I'm not playing, I keep thinking about wanting to play it again, play it more. To me that is what makes a great game. Some games you can play once and put on the shelf and say that game sucks. Not so with ZombiU, it keeps drawing me back to it, even though I keep getting eaten.

I think it looked very interesting and good from the Giantbomb quick play. I also thought that the survival horror would explain why the reviews are so mixed, game isn't for everyone...

What do the people who have already played it have to say (not the reviewers)? The criticisms seem sound, but luckily I always try things for myself first so I will def at least rent it. I hope that other rumor article is true because I would be all about a new Yoshi's Island type game.
