Wii U Launch Exposes Pre-Order Scams

Most Wii U fans were able to bring home their systems without incident. But more than a handful of consumers found out that their pre-orders didn't guarantee that a system would be there. Worse yet, some retailers refused to give refunds for unfilled orders.

Is pre-order culture really this broken? (EB Games, GameStop, Wii U)

That really sucks for those that not only preordered, but waited in the cold for the store to open and were denied a system that they had 'pre ordered' and probably in some cases, were paid off..

I preordered mine from Gamestop here in Chicago and paid it off prior to launch.... We didn't pick it up till around 3pm, and luckily, I got it... Can't imagine how mad I'd be if I didn't...

Good Luck to you guys who got screwed..

Even worse it was all a lie. 5 walmarts near my house have PLENTY in stock. Pre order BS
