Wii U Take-Home Impressions: The GamePad Works Like a Dream

GenGAME: "By and large, the GamePad manages to work pretty dawn well as a TV-connected tablet... while not really feeling like one during actual gameplay. It's an astounding paradox, but one that Nintendo's banking on to get people excited about everything that Wii U can do." (Nintendo, Wii U)

i got mine , it is sweet having super mario u in hd it looks great and it plays at 1080p , the issue i have is the pad controller its a little to bulky while trying to play super mario u , and the 5 gig install was so painful to wait on .the pad controller is to big to control for my kid , and my wife says its to akward , not sure how this is going to go with the casual gamers they kinda like things on the simple side .next time i play im going to try the wiimote . and was hoping for pikmin 3 , rayman and 1001 but got pusshed to next year.

I think the Gamepad will be accepted by core gamers. Provided that happens it will be fine. Touch screen has proven to be accepted by the core.

Im kinda pist the new awesome pro contollers (the xbox 360 look alikes) don't work on half the WiiU games. Went to play multi-player Mario U and no go. Had to go buy the old style Wii rectangular controllers. VERY ANGRY.

But besides, zomg games are fun as heck.
