Bargain Bin Review - Lost Odyssey | GiR

Matt of Gaming Irresponsibly takes a look back at this Xbox 360 JRPG released back in 2008. Is it a steal at bargain bin prices or should it remain forgotten? (Lost Odyssey, Xbox 360) 8.6/10

Definatly my best JRPG this generation and one of my best of all time.

FF13 is the worst i have played, so obviously what was good about Square is now in Mistwalker.

God this game was so underrated. A masrerpiece imo. Had some of the best graphics, cutscenes (like 20 hours lol), gameplay, characters, an awesome world, near perfect. Was ff13 but played like 10. Only thing missing was some kind of summons and limit breaks. Also couldve used some more ring variaty. Otherwise it was perfect one of the best jrpgs ever made. I just restarted it and was blown away by the best intro ever. No jrpg has come close to the scale and massive lotr type battles yet. It really does have the best production values . Amazing!

I have 2 copies of Lost Odyssey (don't ask, long, painful story), and I am still yet to play it. I'm going to get into it soon, and I have heard nothing but positive things about it.

I think it was only 'underrated' because western audiences have different tastes to Japanese games, mostly JRPG'S.
