Game Company Tries to Take Advantage of Recent Korean Idol Controversy

On November 10, Korean idol IU accidentally uploaded a private photo of her and Super Junior’s Eunhyuk on her Twitter. The photo showed IU in pink pajamas and Eunhyuk, who seems to not be wearing a shirt. Although it was quickly removed, it became a huge topic on the news and on online communities.

Recently, a game company revealed an illustration for its new game, MAID Matgo. The problem is, the characters in the illustration looked exactly like the two celebrities in the revealed photo. Many Korean netizens felt uncomfortable that a company tried to take advantage of a celebrity’s revealed privacy. The illustration was soon removed after many criticizing comments followed.

The story is too old to be commented.

Wow, I didn't hear about this. Well, even idols are human too, wish they'd show that more often instead of the whole either cutesy or bad-ass/slutty way alot of Korean pop giants have going for them, although IU was always one of the more down to earth of modern Korean pop stars.

Exactly. I see this sort of thing on my Facebook all the time so I dunno what the big deal is. Just makes 'em seem more human.
