Wii U launches at Nintendo World in NYC

Fans were lined up almost around the block for the Wii U launch event at Nintendo World here in New York City. Rockefeller Center, surrounded by giant dancing Miis, had fans decked out in Epic Mickey 2 Oswald hats and other regalia. Pop music blasted from a central stage in the plaza, rallying fans and keeping them somewhat energized for the midnight release.

Nintendo of America COO Reggie Fils-Aime was on hand signing autographs, taking pictures and getting the crowd prepped just minutes before the launch, yelling out “my body is ready.” While most brick and mortar stores had sold out of their pre-orders, the mood seemed positive as people lined up with only 40 minutes to go until the midnight release. Since when is Nintendo a "struggling japanese game company?"

Nintendo has sold millions and millions and millions of (3)DS's, and wiis, I hardly think they're "struggling".
