The Wii U firmware update that just went live and will be mandatory for any of the system's online features has enabled me to start adding friends to my system.
*there is a gaming god* :)
its quite sad when people are celebrating a feature like adding friends on a new social device in todays world. it shows how ridiculous nintendo is and im glad im no longer a party to the silliness. people also celebrate common sense moves like having an online presence, a semi-normal controller(wii u pad), HD, and a few others which should be compulsory. its quite telling and pathetic for people sighing in relief when nintendo does something that makes sense. to each his own, the ps3 and xbox are better and more powerful imo so ill stick with those devices til xbox 720 and ps4 are out. i know the nes goat boys love to scream about how next gen consoles the 720 and ps4 wont be a lot more powerful than the wii u but just looking at 1st gen next gen destined games like metal gear ground zeros and watch dogs i know theyll be trouncing the wii u. the naysayers are trying to fool themselves into thinking that the other console makers will try to build a shoddy and weak product like nintendo does constantly so their console wont look too weak. ps4 and 720 will be a mass improvement over hd consoles this gen and 1st gen games like watch dogs, metal gear ground zeros and a few other advanced games only begins to tell
Awesome, can't wait to get Wii U.
Its about time. Just wondering but why are there friend caps on these systems?
Want to try out the friend system... Feel free to send me a friend request on Wii U. ID = guitarded77 I don't have any multiplayer games for the system, but will get some in the future I'm sure.
Not only that but 100 Friends limit. Is there anything that this console can do that actually is "Next gen"?
Yea man, the social network aspect of the Wii U, Mii-verse and the Wara-Wara plaza, are features that can only be done next-gen on the next PS4 and Xbox. As far as graphics go, well, they're launch titles, not very many launch titles ever push the systems true power. It's definitely something you should keep your eyes open for, but can actually wait til more exclusive games are released. Great system and system potential but if your on the ropes I'd say wait til a few more titles are available.
This is a step in the right direction.
Amazing no matter how Nintendo does it..
