EDGE : again, a lot of 8,7...for nintendo or xbox and multi games, always on par with metacritics, on even better, when they always give 2,3 points less for sony exclusives = biased, not harsh !
yeah but thats the only bad review of the game to my knowledge so what does that say every one else has nothing but praise for it so don't listen to one review, infact don't listen to any review play the games you want to play and enjoy them for what they are. and its not an fps its a survival horror with a first person perspective if you think its an fps then ur going to be solely disappointed. its like saying silent hill is a third person shooter which its not.
and a 7 out of 10 is not average its good average is 5 as its in the middle, if you think 7 out of 10 is bad then you shouldn't be a gamer as you don't understand game scoring.
Who is this everyone else when the game isn't even out? There are only three reviews, one is a 7/10 according to this article, one is a 4.5/10, and another is a 92/100 by the "Official Nintendo Magazine."
I'm going to believe an official Nintendo magazine as much as I'm going to believe an official Xbox magazine or official Playstation magazine.
Also, 7/10 is indeed a good rating, except for the fact that the review industry no longer has a good review system going on. A 7/10 by review standards now is more like a 5/10 by someone who actually uses the full scale, which in itself is just below average(2.5/5 instead of 3/5.) A 9/10 can sometimes actually be a 9/10, but it rarely deserves a 9/10 and more than likely deserves a 7/10 or 8/10.
Everyone bashes Jim Sterling for his reviews, but if you think about it, he's not doing anything more than using the entire scale rather than the artificial 7/10-10/10 being the only good games scale that other reviewers do. He's bashed some games I like as well, but he's pretty spot on most games. He actually doesn't bash on all games believe it or not.
The problem I have with Sterling is that he applies a lot of his own personal preferences to the review and in doing so writes misleading information.
For example, he stated that Mario Kart 7 was too much like the games before it. I'm convinced he only wrote this because he generally does not like the Mario Kart franchise. Mario Kart 7 brought back the coin system, kart customization, underwater and sky segments and finally they completely and efficiently retooled online play and made it better than both Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Wii. Sterling failed to acknowledge any of this in his review and mostly just spewed on about how he didn't like the formula he was already uncomfortable with.
Then of course later on he gave Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 a near perfect score.
I'm not saying he cannot have those opinions, but those opinions and the justifications behind them are why I choose to ignore his reviews. He does not represent me and his tastes are far different from my own. I also believe he writes certain reviews for the sake of getting attention which does not sit well with me.
Im sorry but anyone who take a gamespot review seriously I can not take seriously, one does not simple give Kinect Star Wars and Kinect Adventures the same score as SKyward Sword and still be considered a reputable place for reviews, EDGE however is a real hardass when it come to reviews, so their 7/10 are more like 8/10.
My decision to keep my wii u or sell it all rides on zombie u. Must say most of me wants to keep it because I love gaming but part of me knew I would have to sell it. A 2D Mario isn't enough for me to justify having another console sit there collecting dust. ZombieU was my only hope....... Hopes crushed. Stick too my ps3/vita and 3DS. Wait for the next round of games for wiiU before committing.
Hmmm halo 4 got an 8? Warfighter a 3? Most of these scores seem to all be missing a well deserved point. Bump all the reviews up one point and you have a more believable scoreboard. Hotline Miami deserves a 10 play it
No idea, everyone shit on Retro City Rampage, now another one of these games come out and people are raging over it.
Makes no sense why games that take a crap load of money to make and spend a lot of time in development are getting lower scores than some 2D flash type game on steam for $10 bucks.
Look yourself. From what I read and saw of the game is not as amazing as people are making it out to be, I guess more people are just too used to Angry Birds and Plants vs Zombies.
That or decent music and a lot of blood will sell anything and over hype it.
Money and dev time do not make a good game. You should lisen to you're self lol I guess duke nukem forever is amazing. insane amounts of money went into it and it was in development for like 13 years.
The difference between Retro City Rampage and Hotline Miami, is that the latter is better. Does that give you some idea?
I know, why bother with all this art house cinema rubbish when you can watch Michael Bay's Transformers masterpiece back to back on Blu-Ray. Or Waterworld, remember that?
i know a shit game when i see one, and zombiu has shit written all over it even the game title wreaks of shit.
i also dont care how many '9's mario bros wiiu gets. i fell into the '9' trap with mario bros wii, and that was another shit game. albiet, colourful shit. Until nintendo stop using the 'mario cookie cutter' as a template for all their 2d mario games, i will not be buying a mario game again.
i think i will hold out on wiiu until pikmin 3 arrives
@Drainage That game wasn't even overhyped. The haters themselves made a bigger deal out of it by claiming that every FPS on PS3 is suppose to compete with Halo.
The biggest difference is Zombie U was supposed to justify the Wii U's GamePad and it did just the opposite. Haze didn't need to justify anything.
I knew Zombi U was not going to be as great as everyone thought.
But no I got shit all month just for saying that, sorry I am observant. I mean it took one look at some real game play for me to figure out that it was just going to be added to the slew of petty Zombie games we already have.. the animations in that game were awful..
People were like oh it's Ubisoft but I was like yea but Ubisoft although have made some amazing games, have made some pretty bad ones also.
New Super Mario Bros. U? They should take the "New" out of that title, other than being a new game, there isn't much new about it.
If NintendoLand got about the same score as ZombiU that doesn't seem good at all. Meh I saw it coming a mile away.
LMAO, this is fake. Sorry guys....PROVEN FAKE REVIEW...LOL Freaking fanboy gone mad, cause he bashed Wii u and now he wants one...I thought this was real at first until I looked into it.
YAWN ANOTHER SONY REVIEWER, ANOTHER FALSE REVIEW, JUST LIKE NINJA GAIDEN 3 RAZOR'S EDGE... NINTENDO FANS ARE STILL GOING TO BUY THESE GREAT HOARD CORE TITLES.... YOU DON'T GET THEM, SO GET OVER IT!!
Non sequitur thy name is kaos.
Gamestop Review is now live: Only a 4,5/10

for games 7 is like average
Just see the game reviews.. there are few games below 5
ZombiU a 7... haven't played it yet, but for what I've seen, it's probably the score it deserves. Looks to me like another average FPS.
Good score for Assassins Creed III.
Hitman Absolution a 7... hummmm... i'm not sure about this game.
BTW... what the hell is Hotline Miami ? Never heard of it. Google it.
Looks like its 20 years to late

Tool.
soooo does that mean ZombiU is better then MoH? I really enjoy MoH so that must mean zombiu is the second coming of christ...
*please insert jesus zombie jokes here*

If the high score and low score coexist, it is good news for me.
