My thoughts exactly. I'm ready for that new electronics aroma when I open the box. (the same aroma that also probably gives off cancer fumes)

Mmmmm, cancer.

"games finally available in HD"

Nintendo games have been available in HD for a long time about 5 years (Dolphin Emulator). Just that the casuals have finally caught up lol.

@luffygumgum

No ones advocating piracy, you can buy games then emulate them. HD on Nintendo games is nothing new for the ones who know ;-)

Casual gamer (console gamers) only just caught up.

@poprocks359

Many people are illegally downloading games on the console hardware itself be it the PS3 or Xbox 360. Bottom line is, if anyone wants to be pirating they may do so on the hardware itself. Emulating on another hardawre doesnt instantly mean pirating, the same person may as well do it on the original hardware.

Okay. Now how about a method that doesn't also indirectly provide people a means to download games illegally?

Not saying everyone does that, but there are plenty who do.

Never pick up a console on launch. It is just not worth it. I wait 6 months usually to get a new console.

I can think of more than 3 reasons NOT to pick up the Wii U at launch! Lmao.

Seriously though, it's much better to wait about 6 months to 1 year before getting a new console, because there won't be a healthy library of games until then. Don't make the same mistake I did with my Vita...

What? u dont think the 50+ launch window games are worth coughing up the cash for a new console? Me either but i do know without a doubt, great games will eventually come around..

1st party will have many excellent games that are definitely going to come one day & 3rd will have a handful at some point.. Thats the way it goes for all nintendo systems... Your probably going to wait until a great deal comes around & the games u do want show up like i am..

though we share the same logic of buying hardware 6 months from release, I do it because I'd like to see if there are would be any tech issues along the line as usually they wouldn't show up not until 3-6 months.

Anyway, select one: would you rather be an early adopter of the 3ds as opposed to the Vita?
Deku-Johnny  +   182d ago
I'd rather be an early adopter of the 3DS. I ended up getting 20 free games from the eShop to make up for the extra cash I paid getting it before the price cut and now nearly two years later it has a better library than the Vita.

@Deku-Johnny

Though a good gesture from Nintendo I do not think the line up is a fair trade off.

A big middle finger buy hey, it did push Sales right?
Deku-Johnny  +   182d ago
The Wii U already has a healthy library of games no matter what type of gamer you are.

Is the Gamepad a game changer? I mean when wii was revealed, wiimote/motion controls was also said to be a game cahnger.

From what I played at BestBuy(Rayman), I sense gimmicks.

The Wiimote was said to be a game changer, a LOT of people were skeptical about that and it turned out those doubters were wrong. Nintendo ruled this gen because of their new way of playing, Microsoft and Sony pandered to the casual market with Kinect and Move of which earned the companies a lot of money both of which wouldn't have been made without the Wiimote. I have no doubt that if the Wii U does well Microsoft and Sony will bring out something similar to the gamepad.
