Black Ops 2 - Treyarch Posts In-Game Message to Troubled PS3 Users, Promises Incoming Patch
MP1st - Activision has updated the PS3 version of Black Ops 2 in include an apologetic message to users experiencing difficulties and promises a soon-to-be-released patch.

Hmm $500,000,00.00 in 24hrs and they can't give fans dedicated servers. This is the last cod game I'm buying. It needs some mp tweaks but if they had dedicated servers it would be the best cod since cod4.
I should have known better. The games never launch the way they are supposed to. All I ever hear is sorry's. Dont get it twisted, i love treyarch. I just find it hard to believe that it takes this long to patch a game. Zipper fixed game breaking bugs within hours, and that game had 256 players online. This is weak as hell.
The only problems I have had so far is the "waiting on players to balance teams" deal...just takes a few minutes for the multiplayer match to start ...sometimes.... is the freezing just specific to the old fatty style ps3?....playing on the slim myself and it hasn't frozen at all for me...just the delayed wait to start an online match occasionally.
I have a slim and it worked fine all day. I log out and come back in every game I try to join freezes my ps3. Hard reset. Corrupt file check. Rinse and repeat. Activision can eat a big bowl of Dick.
the software has gugs, deal with it, it's getting more common, fall 2012 lineup is going to be remembered as a unfinished game season with buggy AC3, BO2, the respective Vita games - it makes sense to play a game only after the first patch, and after the second the games really become stable.
try installing the textures to your ps3. this helps them buffer faster without having to load them off the disc which puts strain on the blu ray drive. Ive installed them and they look better.
Activision after all these years still haven't perfected this $#!T?? it only took one shot for EA and released a lot of games what a shame..your team sucks so bad just sayin...
A message of apology is gonna be acceptable if there is already a fix that followed but if i have to wait for that "soon" thats a different story..i pay you good money so they should provide good response in return.. I think a good lawsuit should be filed no only for activision but for other developers doin this...they keep doin this and at the end getting ignored gamers should teach them some manners as well...
