Persona 4 Golden Review - In Teddie We Trust | Game Informer

Persona 4 Golden’s greatest strength is that everything fits together seamlessly, from the connected battle and social aspects to the fresh changes.

Newcomers are sure to find plenty to love, while series veterans can revisit fond memories and experience new content.

This game still remains one of the best RPG to date; don’t miss out on your second chance to experience it. (Persona 4 Golden, PS Vita) 8.5/10

You know a game is good when the lowest score is an 8.5 and all others are 9s and 10s.

quick question: Do you need to have played the previous Persona games in order to understand this one? I might consider getting this.

Thanks!

The game makes many allusions to the previous game. Since the game world is the same. From a fan perspective, yes it's worth playing the previous game. Otherwise the story is self-contained.

im new to this game..is this a turn based rpg??and i wonder if i will be lost if i didnt play the rest of it??

Its turn base and each Persona game is a different story from one another. So your not missing out on anything if you start with 4.

I do recommend playing 3 afterwards and then the Mayonaka Arena.
