10th Anniversary – Metroid Prime

A decade ago, Metroid made its return to Nintendo consoles. Here, we discuss Metroid Prime, and what made it such a classic. ( Metroid Prime, GameCube, Metroid Prime 2, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Metroid Prime 3, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Wii, Wii U)

Man it's actually been a decade?
Crazy.

I'm not sure what is more crazy:
-That it's been 10 years or,
-That the game still holds up so amazingly well.

I can boot up the game right now and won't stop until I've completed the game. This is the epitome of a classic.

btw, Evil Hope alls well with you brother.

I love the Metroid Prime Trilogy collection. One of my favorite Wii games because you get three awesome games all packaged together. Plus it updated Prime and Prime 2's controls to support the wiimote and nunchuk.

Such fun games. I got the first two on the Gamecube and then I got the trilogy on the Wii in that amazing hard case. I found it for $20 somehow a while back. One of my favorite Wii games.

Ah what a game! I remember seeing an issue of a Magazine called NGC that had Samus on the front cover and after playing Super Metroid WAY back in the day and being obsessed with it I bought the issue because it had been 8 years since Super Metroid. I read through the Metroid Prime & Fusion articles nearly every day for 8 months on the same magazine!

After the 8 months Prime had came out and I didn't know but my best friend who was also a massive Metroid fan bought the game and I stayed over at his house and we played that game all weekend! The memories I have with the Metroid games are memories ill cherish forever

I remember being blown away by the first one. The controls were so good on that GC controller, and it was just a beautiful game to look at.

The first Prime is the game that got me to play the other Metroids. For some reason I had never played them before that. Glad I finally did.
