Five Of The Wii U's Quietest Surprises

There has been a lot written about the Wii U since it was announced 18 months ago at E3. Lots of people have covered the new features that it will have, including the variety of ways the second screen will change the way gamers play, but now that there are Wii U units out in the wild, we can finally take a look at some of the smaller surprises that the system includes. While some of these things may seem obvious, its still reassuring to know that they were included as part of the system, that's helping to move Nintendo's stake in the console market forward. There are still so many features yet to be revealed in the day one update, but here are a few of the small surprises that we already know about the system.

It doesn't suck!
I played on a few times now, and I'm really liking it. It's odd, it's playful but at the same time there are serious games coming out for it. Something my GF will actually play too.

Thumps up to Nintendo. Nice of them to have all this features in it @ launch. Hoping to pick up one but not after purchasing a Ps4 and Xbox 720 ;-)

im getting a Wii u then ps4 not sure about Xbox yet as I wasn't happy with my 360's, ill wait to get new Xbox to see if there any problems like RROD. I think the Wii u has the most standard features of any console at launch to date really looking farward to playing zombiu in 3d. my tv converts 2d to 3d and does it really well, rage looks amazing on it but gonna try wind walker soon to see what it looks like.
