don't forget the challenge modes, I think that is where the community will take off, challenging people to do things, and then trying to beat them.

Sadly, the simple fact that this is from Nintendo and doesn't have gun and gore will prevent it from getting game of the year regardless of how many millions it sells and how overpoweringly good the scores are.

I agree with you that Nintendo games do seem to get bushed aside by the "too mature for colours" crowd, but remember when Mario Galaxy? It got a lot of GOTY recognition..
