Review | Retro City Rampage [Default Prime]

Default Prime says, "Anyone who’s a couple decades old can remember the pixelated days of Mario and Zelda. Games did what they could with limited hardware to create franchises still remembered, and cherished, today. Retro City Rampage has been unleashed on our 2012 PCs aiming to not only inspire us to renew our love for old 8-bit gaming, but also poke fun at it. A lot. Set up like a top-down, open-world crime simulator, Retro City Rampage hopes to embrace the style of our nostalgic NES days while incorporating the hindsight of modern gaming. Attempting to mix the world between modern sensibility and classic entertainment is a welcome concept as long as the execution is just as clever as the idea itself."

Still waiting for this game to come out on the Xbox Live Arcade. Seriously, wtf is taking so long!

Microsofts claim process. Plus, I believe the game is a PS3 favored title because sony would pay to have it first. Microsoft didn't want it, in a nutshell.

But hey, it might release with the first patch already. That's good stuff.

Nope. The truth is that its just one guy who's actually doing the development and he decided it was too much work for one person to work on both releases at once.

Doubt it, you don't port it to one system in a few days, it takes hundreds of hundreds of hours to meet said consoles guidelines for approval for just the interaction with the system. Microsoft certification takes more time and also is still probably not the favored console. That's it. I've talked a little with Bri Pro, too, btw. I know for a fact the programming for each system was not the problem. That is minimal for fixes. The hard part is just getting the verification for the system usage to your game.
