Vita 32GB Memory Card Sales Skyrocket Following PlayStation Plus Announcement

From AnalogHype.com: "Yesterday was a big day for Vita gamers as Sony announced all the details for the Vita's PlayStation Plus which will be available next Monday.. While some may argue that the Vita's Instant Game Collection offerings are better than that of the PS3, one thing's for sure, people are happy." (PS Vita, Tag Invalid)

Have to store all the games somewhere.

Glad I grabbed a 32GB around the time I got my Vita. I knew I would need a lot of space for the eventual Plus instant game collection.

I need another.

How is yours not full already?

I only hope they do something about the placing of the icons when you swap cards.
Haing to arrange them everytime is a pain.

I've got a lot of PSP games on it, but haven't bought any digital versions of retail Vita games yet. Honestly though, the one Vita shortcoming is switching memory cards... I have a second one (an 8GB) and last I checked every time you switch it completely rearranges all your icons to random locations and gets rid of your wallpapers.

I REALLY hope Sony is looking into fixing this, or has fixed it by now though. :\

I own both a 16 and 32GB memory card and I don't think that will be enough. If Sony does release a new Vita Memory card, I hope it not too expensive.

Plus should help move some Vitas if Sony markets the IGC on each Vita box and offer a week or month of plus. I want to know what the IGC look like in Japan.

well as long as you went through the process of purchasing (even if free) the content from the PSN, it will always remain in your download list.

So like me, even though I don't have a Vita yet, when these 5 Vita games come to Plus, I will still purchase/initiate the download of all the games. Even if I don't fully download them, as long as I went through the process, they will always be in my download list.

Essentially you can just keep them stored in your download list and then download them when you want it. Even if your Plus sub expires, if you renew it, those games will still be available years from now.

Lets also say you don't have a PS3 or have enough room on your Vita to download these 5 games. You can still access the store from your Vita, attempt to download them, and it will say there is not enough memory to save the game. at that point the game will go to your download list forever and you can truly download it when you get more space on your Vita.

Basically just initiate everything from Plus even if you don't have the space, you can always get it from your download list later on. :)

@brettyd @stage88

yes you can copy your games/apps/saves/medias to your PC or PS3

btw, i got a 4gb, 8gb and a 32gb.....and for me thats barely enough for my usage.
i hope they will drop the 32gb to 69$ and maybe add a 64gb

I have a 32GB stick and an 8GB so i dont think that i will have any problems with space for a while.

Anyways im not surprised that this has happened since plus adds a ton of value to the device with free games, content etc.

Yeah I think I'm gonna have pick one up as well. I've got a 16GB but it's already getting full. Honestly with the size of Vita games being an average of 3GB, and they'll be getting bigger as time goes on, Sony should adjust the memory cards. Discontinue the 4GB and replace it with the 8GB, then have 16GB for $29.99, 32GB for $59.99, and release a 64GB at the $99.99 price point. I think those would be much more reasonable price points for the capacity.

I only have a 4gb. Uncharted:GA will barley even fit.

I can't wait to finally get a Vista.

Great news, but Sony really needs to start making those 64/128MB and also sell them at decent prices.

32GB is not enough for people who likes to keep all their games on one card.

Lets just say the average size for Vita games(including PSP & PSone) are around 1GB, there is 1 game a week which means your 32GB will probably get full in half a year.

on a side note: its great that 2.00 will allow transferring games between vita and PC
