not really at least the 9.9 is somewhat realistic. 10's are the "perfect" score to which we know there is no such thing. 10's have been thrown around so much this gen that it is impossible to take a "10" seriously.
While a 9.5 might seem logical, a score like this (9.9) implies it is right at that edge of perfection (to this reviewer) but there is room for improvement.
It should be 9.6 or 9.7 if you want to be correct. (Calculated 10+10+9 = 29 / 3 = 9.66xxxx
A 9.9 is for school tests in lower grades, not for game reviewers. I mean no game is perfect. There is also room for improvements / bug fixes you name it.
What..? I can rate the games I review how I want, I just say that giving a 9.9 for a game is stupid and has no extra value than giving the game a 9.5 or a 10
"Here's a tip, don't play Halo's Multiplayer, that was never what made the games good, it's tacked on crap, like every FPS includes these days. #1"
So in your previous comment you're saying the multiplayer was crap and the single player was what the made the game good. Now you're saying the multiplayer is good but the single player is crap? Make up your mind! I also find it surprising you seem to hate the "linearity" of Halo but loved a lot of the previous Call of Duty's and and also have high hopes for Black Ops 2...
"If you don't like COD, don't play it, but let the people that do, do what they want, oh, and this is coming from someone who HATED Modern Warfare 3 (didn't buy it, played for about 5 hours at a friends, and hate everything about it)
but I loved cod 4/black ops, mw2 would have been decent if it had any semblance of balance, and have already bought black ops 2 on steam because I appreciate that 3arc actually put some work into this title, unlike activision that are copy pasting the same crap year after year.
in short, shut up and let people play/like what they want, you don't like COD? then don't play it or read about it."
Yeah...343 SURE hasn't put any effort into Halo 4...*sarcasm*

To each their own i guess.
